I am a big fan of 7 A.M. Enfant’s products (you can check out my reviews of the Blanket 212evolution and Pookie Poncho). And it seems they’re liking adventurousparents.com because they want to give one lucky reader a Cygnet Cover CC100 (valued at $78 USD)!
When the snow began to fall here in the Canadian Rockies, I immediately started to think about what I could do outdoors with my baby girl. Whatever we did, she’d have to be able to ride on me or in a sled or Chariot. I would also have to able to keep her warm. While I would be working up a sweat walking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, she’d be sitting still and getting cold.
I have been a babywearing parent since my daughter was born, and now know for sure that this has been one of the most important factors in helping me get outside and on the move with a baby in tow. For backcountry trips I wanted to try carrying my daughter in a backpack, which would be easier on my shoulders and back. But sometimes the baby just didn’t like being in there, or conditions were too harsh to have her face exposed and forward-facing. With minimal space to spare, I needed a back-up carrier that was lightweight and easy to stash. The Boba Air is made of 100% Nylon and is compact and self-storing, so I thought it would do the trick.
‘Tis gift-giving season and I’m all for recommending gifts that help people create amazing memories as families. That’s what we do with mine. In fact, instead of buying gifts, for years my husband and I have spent money doing something together, whether it’s a meal out, a weekend getaway or a trip overnight in a hut somewhere. The outdoorsy and adventurous parents out there will always appreciate a gift that helps them fuel their passion for the great outdoors, and that also facilitates the process of bringing their little ones with them. So, what can you do to help them create those memories? Here are 6 gift ideas you might want to consider!
