I know what I’ll be wearing a lot this holiday season, and even though I don’t have much choice, this dress would be my “go to” regardless. Outdoorsy gals need to dress up from time to time, especially around Christmas when people like to get all decked out when they gather with friends and family.

Thankfully, Mountain Mama sent me a maternity dress to try out. Based on people’s compliments, I’d say they’ve done a pretty amazing job with this piece!

Isabelle Maternity Midi Dress

Made with their super-stretch mid-weight heather jersey, the Isabelle Maternity Midi Dress is, as Mountain Mama says, “the perfect blank canvas” to dress up or down as you please. It is so comfortable it makes you want to wear a dress every day. I have actually looked forward to opportunities to wear it so that I can go waistband-free for the day (ah, sweet relief!). It is also the perfect weight and in Banff has been a great option for all seasons thanks to our cool summer and fall temperatures. For winter I have purchased a pair of over-the-knee stockings to cover my legs so that I can still avoid wearing tights or pantyhose (I’ll do anything!). I look forward to seeing if  this dress will be something I can sport post-pregnancy, as it seems to spring back into its original shape pretty well.

I would love to see this item come in more colours! But, no doubt, this dress will be a long-standing item for Mountain Mama. If you’re expecting, you can hope this dress is sitting under the Christmas tree for you. 😉

Overall I’d give it 5/5.

Thanks, Mountain Mama, for sending along these products to me for review. More reviews of their products to come!
