A day of deluges on Rapa Nui, but we drove the whole island to scout things out. 🌧 Through fogged up windows we saw volcanic craters, deep shades of blue along the coast, intense wave action splashing skyward, and stands of Moai amidst pouring rain.🗿It’s a true adventure here, with difficulty finding the food we need (reading labels in Spanish gets tiring), challenges finding our way around (no roads marked are indicated), a poorly stocked cabana (majorly lacking in basic supplies!) and the patchiest internet I’ve seen since we were in Polynesia 5 years ago (pardon the radio silence!). I’m enjoying the disconnect and not thinking about life back home much - and seeing my two super trooper little travellers thrive in an unknown land is amazing. 🙌🏻💞 #freelancingfamily #adventurousparents #rapanui #easterisland
Valentine’s in Santiago. 💕 We decided to try something different on this trip and split up our long travel days. After a day entertaining two small children in a small apartment in smoggy Santiago - all on 1.5 hours sleep - we’re starting to think we prefer our usual method of plowing straight through to our destination and dealing with the fallout there... ✈️ Any other people have tips on how to handle long haul travel with kids/babies?? Five hour flight tomorrow will feel like a piece of cake! #adventurousparents #freelancingfamily
Still to pack: pretty much everything 😳 ... Today I’m giving away my Adventure Travel with Baby eguides. Use the code mjw19 at link in profile! #adventurousparents #easterisland #freelancingfamily
